Catching up....

We had a great first Christmas in Texas. Here are a few of the highlights in no particular order:
1. Going to the Messiah--a favorite tradition
2. Making 8 batches of blackberry/raspberry jam, caramels, peanut brittle, and fudge with Candice
3. Todd doing the 12 days of Christmas for me--it was so fun to wake up every morning to a surprise!
4. Christmas party at Candice and KC's ranch and catching up with Casey and Ashley
5. Actually putting up a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations
6. Christmas eve singing at a nursing home with Byron and Tara, eating soup and wassail and caroling with neighbors/friends
7. Christmas morning at the Mattson home
8. Making 'buttons and bow knots' a favorite Goulding breakfast tradition
9. Walking on Christmas eve and Christmas day in shorts and flip flops
We are counting down the days until our little guy arrives. Only 2 weeks left!

Bella's Claim

My mom sent me this super fuzzy bathrobe for my birthday and Bella has staked her claim on it. Isn't she adorable?

McKinney Falls State Park

The day after Thanksgiving we went to McKinney Falls to hike around. It was a perfect Austin day and we had so much fun watching Graham play in the water and dirt! Todd got some great pictures of the little guy too!

Turkey Trot

We had a great Thanksgiving this year! We started off Thanksgiving morning by running the Turkey Trot. Todd pushed Graham (Kat's baby) and Kat, Libbey and I ran together. They were nice enough to tolerate my snail pace and we enjoyed the 5 mile course that went down 6th street and through some of our favorite historic neighborhoods. We ran into Tara, Phoenix and Zion after the race and then headed home to make a few things for dinner. We had a great afternoon with the Mattsons and Dave and Jan enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
